Cleveland is buzzing with artistic tributes to this year's Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductees, and the city's streets are the perfect stage for these rock 'n' roll homages. Inductees for 2024 include trailblazers like Cher and the iconic Mary J. Blige. From speaker sculptures to interactive installations, these pieces not only celebrate the legendary inductees but also highlight the creative spirit that defines Cleveland.
Loaded with songs and audio from this year’s inductees, they truly pay tribute to the rock legends being honored in 2024 and the city they’ll now call home.
Harmonies Sculptures
The three Harmonies Sculptures, on display until the Inductions Ceremony, showcase Cleveland’s musical spirit with a touch of interactive fun. Check out the vintage speaker cluster outside Progressive Field, the guitar slide nestled on the green in front of the Rock Hall and the classic Cleveland guitar stationed outside Huntington Bank Field.
These sculptures are your chance to interact with your favorite inductee and snap a photo of your most epic rock move — because nothing says “I love Cleveland” like a selfie with a giant guitar.
Cleveland Badges are your ultimate pit stop. Picture this: a bench where you and your crew can kick back and soak in a view so perfectly curated it’s practically begging for a pic or two. Wondering how it plays the aforementioned music? Turn the oversized crank and the badge doesn’t just rock out; it also lights up.
There are three vibrant badges, each offering its own unique view. The red badge faces Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse, the green badge frames the historic Cleveland Public Library and the orange badge can be found between the Huntington Convention Center and the lively Warehouse District.
Rock Boxes
You might have noticed those colorful boxes along E. 9th St. that randomly decide to blast music at you. They’re called Rock Boxes, Cleveland’s way of sneakily bringing the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame right into the heart of downtown. Each of these seven clusters of custom speakers is unique, so no two are alike in color, height or number of speakers.
Who needs headphones to walk the streets of Downtown when these Rock Boxes are cranking out inductee sound riffs that turn The Land into your personal concert hall?
