Much like everything in Cleveland, pressure creates diamonds. So when the snow starts to fall in The Land, that’s when the real party gets started.
Just ask the thousands of rug-cutting, beer-drinking music fans who attend Brite Winter, an outdoor music festival held every February. Or, talk to the skaters practicing their triple axels at the area’s multitude of ice skating rinks, the teens tobogganing at speeds of up to 60 miles per hour in the Cleveland Metroparks or the indoorsy types enjoying the warmth of Cleveland’s vast arts & cultural scene.
And this year, things are heating (errr … cooling) up. Cleveland’s FirstEnergy Stadium, which is typically filled with Browns fans barking from the Dawg Pound, plays host to a different sport — hockey. The field will transform into the skating space of your dreams when rivals, the Ohio State University and University of Michigan, take to the ice for a unique competitive matchup.
Every weekend this winter offers up something fresh. This is The Land of your winter playground.
