Fall returns to CLE

Fall in The Land

We get it. Fall is usually a pretty chill season. Chill is good. We love chill. But in Cleveland, we take chill and turn it up to 11.

Fall in Cleveland

The Land of Choosing your Own Adventure

Fun fall things to do in Cleveland

We get it. Fall is usually a pretty chill season. Chill is good. We love chill. But in Cleveland, we take chill and turn it up to 11.

This fall, it's time for you to choose your own adventure in The Land, just like those dog-eared books back in your school library that everyone checked out:

  • Go out and enjoy thousands of acres of green spaces set ablaze in fall color.

  • Get your pregame on and experience football season with passionate fans who wear their heart on their jersey.

  • Or, take in all the contributions, creativity and culinary wonders of Cleveland’s Hispanic community in celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month.

Whichever way you go, you really can’t go wrong. In fact, it’s probably best to treat this like you would any other “Choose Your Own Adventure” book and read it over and over again for a new fall adventure each time. After all, this is also The Land of never the same old thing.

Fall Weather in Cleveland

Technically, summer is over. But nobody tell October, OK?

Temperate, enjoyable weather can last well into autumn. Trick or treaters will tell you that the first real cold blast usually hits right around October 31. Before then, get your fill of apple-picking, hayrides and s’mores.

That hot-cold weather dichotomy is exactly what makes the fall hiking and cycling scenery so spectacular. Enjoy autumn hues throughout the Cleveland Metroparks Emerald Necklace and the Cuyahoga Valley National Park, or branch out for a trek on the immersive Canopy Walk at Holden Arboretum.

Sure, you could encounter some sleet and snow, but you won’t need peak winter gear for a while, so pack a perfectly coordinated ensemble and get that holiday card-worthy shot while you can.
