Make no mistake, we Clevelanders love lakeside living and take advantage of it any chance we get. When summer rolls around, the city heads to the shore daily for outdoor activities, beach fun, fishing, swimming and just taking in the gorgeous views of the lake and all its surrounding nature. And when the weather’s not so great? We surf. (Seriously.) We go ice fishing. We visit something called “ice gardens” on our frozen beaches (trust us, they’re amazing).
Break out those sea legs and get out onto the open water of the lake or the beautiful, delightfully crooked Cuyahoga River with kayak, paddle board and jet ski rentals. Or, just relax on a leisurely cruise or a riverside patio with cold drink in hand. There’s no wrong way — or wrong season — to experience The Land.
