Located less than 20 minutes from Downtown Cleveland, and even closer to Cleveland Hopkins International Airport, Independence is an ideal destination for planners and operators seeking a vast array of accommodations options including more than 1,600 rooms, amazing food and a lot of fun — all without the hustle and bustle of downtown.

As the home of the 2016 World Champion Cleveland Cavaliers training facility, Cleveland’s very own national park (Cuyahoga Valley National Park) and Topgolf Cleveland’s 100+ climate-controlled hitting bays, Independence offers a sweet locale for your next meeting, conference or group tour experience in The Land.

You’ve come to the right place for a great Cleveland dining experience. Melt Bar and Grilled is famous for their seriously extreme menu of gourmet grilled cheese sandwiches, made with some blow-your-mind ingredients like Korean BBQ pork spareribs and even pierogis. Slyman’s Tavern is the place to get one of the best corned beef sandwiches you’ll ever have. Or, for mouthwatering prime steaks in a swanky, retro setting, Delmonico’s Steakhouse can’t be beat. There are so many options for every taste and budget, you really hit the jackpot here.

What to Do

When all your meetings are over and you’re looking for a way to unwind, grab one of the 400 drafts, bottles or specialty drinks from the Winking Lizard Tavern or catch the latest flick at Cinemark at Valley View. Sometimes you just want to get away from people and reset, and there’s no better place to do that than nearby Cuyahoga Valley National Park where you can explore the Ohio and Erie Canal Towpath Trail and ride the Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad. If you’re looking for some team-building, head to Spins Bowl Independence for bowling, laser tag, arcade games and more, or take a swing at the newly opened Topgolf Cleveland with all-weather golfing and full-service restaurant and bars.
