Cuyahoga River Development

This generational project will create a 25-acre green space that connects Downtown and Cleveland neighborhoods to the Cuyahoga River, Lake Erie and beyond, bringing together people, nature, industry and history in an inclusive and accessible space that preserves riverfront land, enhances community health and provides the missing link between the 101-mile Ohio & Erie Canal Towpath Trail and Lake Erie. Accessible through Ohio City and overlooking Downtown’s Columbus Peninsula, construction on the hillside is underway & work on Irishtown Bend Park will begin in Spring 2026.

These 42 acres of real estate are nestled in the heart of Downtown Cleveland’s Scranton Peninsula. This dense, intentional city neighborhood has been designed for the next 100 years with authentic, intimate spaces, timeless but aspirational architecture, intriguing pedestrian corridors and a unique waterfront featuring a multimodal riverside trail and public park. The district looks progressively toward the future in its design, while remaining consciously rooted in the topography and geography of the Scranton Peninsula.
