The Cudell neighborhood is a quaint community with committed, working-class residents. The historic West Boulevard is the residential artery of Cudell, with beautiful homes on either side of the winding road. Moving north toward Edgewater Park is Madison Avenue, the neighborhood’s manufacturing and commercial epicenter.
Cudell’s founding is an intimate story rooted in family and philanthropy. Named after the German architect Frank E. Cudell, the land was an inheritance gifted by his father-in-law, with a portion of land on West Boulevard deeded to the city to create a public park. Guests can visit the home of Frank E. Cudell and his wife Emma, which is now the Cleveland Cudell Fine Arts Center on Detroit Avenue.
