The Land of Your Winter Playground

Much like everything in Cleveland, pressure creates diamonds. So when the snow starts to fall in The Land, that’s when the real party gets started.

Travel Update

We encourage you to consult businesses' websites and social handles for information on current hours.

You already know Cleveland has an outstanding, nationally recognized beer scene chock full of dozens of successful local craft breweries — check out our Cleveland Brewery Passport for more on that — but the visionaries at Brewnuts, a quirky, little donut shop and bar in Cleveland’s Gordon Square Arts District, have taken Cleveland’s beer superiority and transformed it in the most amazing and delicious way:

They put craft beer into the donuts.

We know, your mind’s blown. Ours were too the minute those sweet, cakey halos hit the CLE food scene. So, forget the diet and pull up a seat at the counter for a tall brew and a tasty ring of “holey” heaven at Brewnuts.

What You’ll See

  • An always-evolving selection of some of the most delicious filled donuts and old-fashioned frycakes you’ve ever encountered. As their website says, these selections reflect whatever is on tap at the time, “both with Mother Nature and our local breweries.” Seasonal hits like S’Mores, Hibiscus Lemonade and Peach Cobbler share a cooling rack with the old standby House Donut classics that are always in demand.
  • Brewnuts also regularly takes orders for custom donuts. Their most popular requests are for the adorably delicious mini donuts, which make a great end of wedding snack, but they’re willing to talk out any request. They’ve even changed the telegram game with their Letter Donuts, which can be made into any message you’re looking to send. You could send a greeting card, but this just unequivocally tastes better.

What Else is There to Do?

  • It doesn’t take a genius to realize that if you give a mouse a beer donut, they’re probably going to want a beer (that’s how that goes, right?). Luckily, the geniuses at Brewnuts recognized that immediately, and make sure that they have sixteen rotating brews from Cleveland’s brewery scene on tap, not to mention a variety more in cans and bottles.
  • Realizing that some people might actually want a cup of coffee with their donuts (weird, right?), Brewnuts also partnered with local caffeine barons Phoenix Coffee to provide a variety of daily and seasonal coffee specialties made with beans roasted right here in CLE.

 Where to Stay

The minute you set foot in The Land, there’s so much to do it might be hard to figure out where to start. Whether you’re making a pilgrimage to the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, enjoying a culinary revelation from one of our world-class dining establishments, catching a Browns Game at FirstEnergy stadium or a Broadway hit at Playhouse Square, it’s all accessible from Downtown Cleveland.

Check out all of the first-class accommodations available to you in the heart of Cleveland.

Brewnuts is so unique and just a fun little spot. It’s perfect if you want something sweet, but something a little different.
