Beer goggles or eclipse glasses? On April 8, Cleveland will be in the path of totality and viewers can observe the moon passing directly through the sun and the Earth. The celestial event is rare (the next one won’t be seen again until 2044) and only lasts a little over four minutes, but the activities and festivities will go on all day and local breweries are getting in on the action. The Butcher and The Brewer

Lovers of Dark Side of the Moon, beer enthusiasts and eclipse watchers unite at The Butcher and The Brewer for the release of She Was the Universe, a Black IPA brewed with a blend of Michigan Neomexianus, Centennial and Simcoe and Australian Galaxy hops melding notes of citrus coffee, stone fruit and pine. The beer, released the week of the Eclipse will be available at the Butcher and The Brewer and a variety of Ohio bars and restaurants until it's gone.

The brewery has partnered with the Simons Foundation representing the state of Ohio on their ‘In the Path of Totality' brewery trail and will be releasing in the brewpub for a toast on April 8, at 3:13 pm.
