7 Places to Grab Thanksgiving Dinner To-Go in The Land

Go on. Pick up Thanksgiving Dinner. Stuff yourself. You’ve earned it.

Kevin Carpenter, Allison Jack November 11, 2024

Thanksgiving is the ultimate comfort food holiday. And we could all use a lot more of that in our lives. So, this year, why not skip the long hours toiling over a hot stove and support a few of Northeast Ohio’s best restaurants by grabbing a takeout feast instead?

Think about it: No tower of dirty pots and pans piled up in the sink. A Thanksgiving morning spent watching the parade instead of prepping a turkey. No judgmental side-eye from the out-of-towners when you snag the last piece of pie. Just place an order to go and watch all of that holiday stress melt away.

1. Hartville Kitchen Restaurant & Bakery

No one does homestyle cooking better. This Hartville landmark rolls back the clock for an old-school Thanksgiving dinner with options galore. Choose between turkey or ham, mashed potatoes or sweet potato casserole and even green beans or corn. Good news: every order comes with the Kitchen’s famous dinner rolls and a freshly baked pie.

2. EDWINS

Grab an individual feast to go and gorge in the comfort of your own home. You can’t go wrong — meals include white and dark meat turkey, mashed potatoes and gravy, dressing, green beans, cranberry sauce and even a slice of pumpkin pie. If that sounds like too much food, just remember: Leftovers are for quitters.

3. The Village Butcher

Unleash #FeastMode on this full turkey dinner — with the bird brined for 72 hours — plus all of the traditional holiday trimmings. Like mashed potatoes, sweet corn succotash and house-made turkey gravy. Just be sure to save enough room for a big scoop of pumpkin pie trifle. Pick up available on November 26 or 27 out in Mayfield Village.

4. Cleveland Vegan

Seitan “turkey” — wheat gluten with the taste and texture of meat — is the star of this show. The Lakewood cafe accepts catering orders up until November 22 for a fresh, plant-based take on this most classic of meals. Try the Thanksgiving Bowl, packed full of seitan “turkey” slices, mashed potatoes, corn and herbed gravy.

5. Stancato's Italian Restaurant

Whether you’re flying solo this Thanksgiving or ordering enough food to satisfy an army, Stancato’s has got ya covered. This traditional Thanksgiving dinner (available in either individual or family feast portions) comes complete with roast turkey, mashed potatoes and gravy, sage stuffing, buttered sweet corn and cranberry sauce.

6. Blue Heron Brewery

Get your turkey on with this Medina brewery’s Thanksgiving Take & Bake Meal. Serving groups of four or ten, it includes a whole roasted turkey, Chef Ben’s famous stuffing, garlic smashed redskin potatoes, candied sweet potatoes, fresh green beans in lemon butter and homemade pumpkin rolls. Oh, and a bottle of wine to wash it all down.

7. The Sweet Fix Bakery

What would this holiday be without pies, desserts and every other kind of baked goodness? *Shudder* We don’t even want to think about it. So cap off Turkey Day with a sweet treat prepared by owner and chef Robert Craig from this aptly named Cleveland Heights bakeshop. Our pick? Seasonal fave Sweet Potato Pie.
