When in the Flats East Bank, start your alfresco adventure at upscale eatery Alley Cat Oyster Bar. According to one of our travel experts: “It’s all about the panoramic views! But also, the wrap-around patio/open window to the restaurant. It’s a clean, classy restaurant where you can sit back, relax, eat great food and sip a relaxing cocktail.”
Located on the rooftop of the Metropolitan Hotel at The 9, The Garden of Eden's stunning patio — boasting an uber sleek and sophisticated design — comes with sky-high views of Downtown, and of course refreshing craft cocktails. (Added bonus: This is a great spot to catch the fireworks happening at Progressive Field during Guardians games.)
As far as rooftop patios go, it doesn’t get much more exhilarating than a well-mixed cocktail at Bar 32, located at the Hilton Cleveland Downtown. This contemporary bar, located on the 32nd floor of this convention center hotel, offers one of the chicest and most knee-wobbling views in town. Scope the beauty of Lake Erie whilst sipping ‘tinis.
While Cleveland Chop, located along St. Clair Avenue in the Warehouse District, seems relatively visible from its entrance, it’s the hidden-gem of a patio in the back that is truly the pièce de résistance. While there, tip back a margarita made from roasted pineapple tequila, nom a 40-day dry-aged steak and take in the sprawling views of Worthington Yards.
Named for the countless ships that navigate the narrow passages of the Cuyahoga River it overlooks, this East Bank brewery features handcrafted beer from brew master Luke Purcell, who helped launch Great Lakes Brewing Company into national fame. The views? Out of this world.
Love a good beer, but have kids in tow? Head to Hofbräuhaus in Playhouse Square where they’ve got suds mimicking the Munich-based beers once created by the Duke of Bavaria, as well as a playground on their 1,000-seat biergarten.
