If you’re seeking a uniquely Cleveland experience that comes with a pretty sweet souvenir, consider making your own Cleveland-themed candle at one of two Cleveland Candle Company locations. Whether you’re on your own or have a group of friends, the Cleveland Candle Co. offers a number of opportunities to customize your own (amazingly scented) candles. Better still, the candles can be created with Cleveland-themed scents like CLE Magic, Lake Erie, Ohio Harvest and Cleveland Snow. Here’s how it works …
STEP 1: Select Your Candle
Time for a little aromatherapy. Explore the Cleveland Candle Co.’s famous Scent Wall featuring 150-200 scents – including oodles of hand-selected, Cleveland-specific scents.
Then, head to the contain wall to select a specialty Cleveland-themed container from the more than a dozen different options.
STEP 2: Blend Your Candle
Consult with one of the Cleveland Candle Co.’s Master Mixologists to find the perfect blend among your favorites. They'll help you select 2-4 scents that go nicely together and then grab the corresponding oils for you to blend yourself.
Once you have your oils blended, you'll pour and stir them into the wax until thoroughly mixed.
STEP 3: Add the Finishing Touches
It's label time. You’ll receive blank labels and gel pens for you to turn your candle into something truly unique. Whether it’s a clever play on words, an inside joke with friends or a name to commemorate an event, this is a cool opportunity to truly customize your candle.
An additional label is provided for even more customization in which you can write out the scents used to create the candle, the date, or even a note to remember the experience.
STEP 4: Pick Up Your Candle
Depending on the size container selected, candles will take 1-2 hours to cool.*
All of the Cleveland Candle Co.’s locations are surrounded by great places to eat, shop, hang out and relax while you wait for your candle to cool. If waiting is not an option, you can arrange to pick up your candle on another day.

Custom candle making is priced based on the jar you select. Cleveland Candle Co. has 12-15 different options, starting at $20.
On average, selecting scents and blending a candle takes 30 minutes. Depending on which jar is selected, cooling times can range from 1-2 hours. If planning to pick up you candle on the same day you created it, please arrive to begin making your candles no later than 6 p.m. on Monday—Saturday and 4 p.m. on Sundays.

Walk-ins are welcome for groups of six people or less visitors.
