Cleveland’s proud legacy as a melting pot of diverse cultures and nationalities continues in St. Clair-Superior, where Eastern European immigrants shaped the neighborhood with an old-world sense of community and tradition, the joy of Kurentovanje and breathtaking Byzantine-style architecture. In fact, the area’s Slovenian population is the largest in the world outside of Slovenia itself. We don’t do anything halfway here in The Land.
St. Clair-Superior continues to adapt and change, but without losing touch with the roots and the ideals that made it. Sparked by initiatives like The Hamilton Collaborative, the next generation of CLE change-makers are flooding into the area’s many old warehouses, breathing new life into these neglected spaces and creating an incubator of sorts for the innovative ideas and groundbreaking businesses that will drive the neighborhood forward.
