12 Ways To Celebrate St. Patrick's Day In CLE Style

Destination Cleveland recommends activities throughout Northeast Ohio for a bit o’ fun

Kristen Jantonio, Destination Cleveland February 27, 2020
CLEVELAND (Feb. 27, 2020) – Whether it’s looking for luck, grabbing a pint and corned beef sandwich or creatively embracing one’s (real or imaginary) Irish heritage, Clevelanders’ options for one-of-a-kind St. Patrick’s Day celebrations are overflowing. From traditional events to live entertainment to hearty Irish fare, Destination Cleveland recommends residents take this time to be tourists in their hometown and explore The Land this St. Patrick’s Day.

A TRIED-AND-TRUE CLASSIC

Cleveland St. Patrick’s Day Parade
The 2020 Cleveland St. Patrick’s Day Parade is the perfect way to celebrate and honor the Irish roots of thousands of Northeast Ohio residents. This year marks 178 years since the inaugural parade in 1842, and the theme is “Ireland’s Scenic Coastlines,” which will be reflected in the parade floats. Irish step dancing, bagpipe music and much more will provide for a lively event in the heart of Downtown Cleveland.
  • Superior Avenue, Downtown Cleveland
  • Tuesday, March 17, 1:04 p.m., kickoff from E. 18th St.

BUST A MOVE

Nighttown
Hailing from the Irish counties of Dublin and Down, the duo of John Delaney and Alec DeGabriele are set to bring their musical talents to Nighttown for three shows titled “St. Patrick’s Day with the New Barleycorn.” Old world music works in tandem with top Nighttown dinner entrée options like Lobster Pot Pie or The Famous Dublin Lawyer to create an enjoyable night out in The Land.
