Where Roaming Biscuits Began. Founded in 2019 by Shawnda Moye, a passionate African American female chef and the owner of The Bake Shop & Cafe and The Roaming Biscuit. A start-up biscuit company based in Cleveland, Ohio. Shawnda's love for baking began in her childhood, and she honed her skills by working in various bakeries and cafes. In 2019, she started The Roaming Biscuit as a pop-up business, which quickly gained a loyal following. Despite the challenges of the pandemic, Shawnda found a permanent home for her business in June 2021 at Tyler Village.
Our mission at The Bake Shop and Café is to bring people together through the power of good food. Shawnda's passion for preparing delectable breakfast sandwiches and biscuits stems from her desire to see her customers' satisfaction. With a talented team that values creativity and customer service, we strive to provide an exceptional dining experience. We believe in supporting and uplifting minority-owned businesses, which is why we showcase other women-owned and black-owned enterprises in our café.
