Peter Brown started Six Shooter Coffee in 2014 out of the basement of his house. While teaching during the day, he was roasting on a 1 pound roaster from Sweet Maria’s in the evenings.
In 2015 he moved up to a 5 kilogram Ambex roaster when he and his fiancé Tara decided to make Six Shooter Coffee a full-time job. While providing local Cleveland businesses with delicious coffee, Tara and Peter started looking for a location that could become a community gathering place. They found that in the Waterloo Arts District; along with their GM and head roaster, Sarah Stocum. In March of 2016, 3 months after getting married; Peter and Tara opened Six Shooter Coffee on Waterloo Rd.
To make as big of an impact as possible, Peter travels to the Dominican Republic with local non profits to help run medicalclinics and build communities. Additionally, Six Shooter Coffee has pledged to contribute a portion of their proceeds to organizations empowering people reentering society from incarceration. They are now roasting on a 15 kilogram Geisen and providing more Northeast Ohio businesses with coffee.
