Designed by Isamu Noguchi, “Portal”
was the first abstract sculpture placed
in Downtown. Located in front of the
26-story Justice Center, the 36-foot-tall
work, constructed of black steel pipe,
has been critically interpreted by many
as “justice going down the drain.”
