The Oak Native American Gallery, located within the Cummings Center for the History of Psychology, is the exhibitive home of the Oak Native American Ethnographic Collection. The collection is on permanent loan from Jim and Vanita Oelschlager and includes Native American tools, blankets, baskets, ceremonial objects, Edward Curtis books and prints, Western bronzes, and a mixture of popular culture materials. The current exhibit in the Oak Native American Gallery promotes learning and a wider understanding of Native American culture while helping to dispel stereotypes and outdated symbolism.
