Located beneath the lobby of the Mimi Ohio Theatre, the intimate Kennedy’s Cabaret is unique to the Playhouse Square family of venues. The space still sports its original 1921 exposed-brick walls. Kennedy’s opened as a performance space November 15, 1975, and now plays host to a variety of one-person shows, plays, and other cabaret entertainment.
Playhouse Square is a cornerstone of Cleveland’s cultural identity, hosting more than 1000 performances annually – from Broadway hits and concerts to comedy and special events. Playhouse Square is home to eight resident companies and 12 venues. Free public tours off a behind-the-scenes look at the district’s rich history, architecture and vibrant legacy. Its theaters and elegant lobbies are also available for private rentals, making it a standout venue for planners seeking a memorable space.
