Inscriptions along the entrance walkway to the India Cultural Garden say “welcome” in 15 of India’s major languages, along with English.
The garden’s centerpiece is a 10-foot bronze statue of Mahatma Gandhi, set on a seven-foot granite pedestal overlooking Martin Luther King Jr. Drive. The statue was created by Gautam Pal of Calcutta.
