We are a family-owned and operated antique shop founded by June and Larry Greenwald in 1959, born out of their love of art, collecting, and history. That love and enthusiasm was passed down to their son Ron, who currently owns and operates the company.

June Greenwald began dealing in antiques more than 60 years ago, sharing her passion with her children.  Ronald Greenwald continues to run the business after June retired. Having developed and cultivated a vast and diverse inventory at our Cleveland Heights store for over 50 years, we decided to expand to another location in Woodmere Village in 2009. That location has been so successful that we decided to close the Cleveland Heights store in 2012. In addition to our main retail locations, Greenwald’s conducts estate sales and exhibits annually at some of the finest antique and jewelry shows around the country.

Over the years Greenwald’s has handled a large variety of fine art, antiques, and jewelry, and we continue to expand our knowledge and customer base. We specialize in 18th, 19th, and early 20th century works from both Cleveland and around the world. Greenwald’s has (or has had) pieces by esteemed artists and designers including, but certainly not limited to: Cartier, Demetre Chiparus, Carl Fabergé, Eugene Lanceray, Jules Leleu, Gustav Moreau, Joshua Reynolds, Viktor Schreckengost, Augustus St-Gaudens, Paul Storr, Louis Comfort Tiffany, and Vancleef & Arpels, to name just a few. We have recently been expanding to quality mid-century modern art and furnishings, including pieces by Paul Evans, la Maison Jansen, and Freeman Sithole.

Greenwald’s is constantly buying the best pieces both out of Cleveland-area homes as well as around the country. We have worked with some of the most esteemed families and designers from Cleveland and around the world. Greenwald’s has also sold and loaned many art works to museums, collections, and exhibitions worldwide. Perhaps our favorite pastime, however, is educating clients and helping them build their collections. Let us help you begin cultivating your passion or grow an existing one, whether your goal is to furnish your living room with taste and style or to build a world-class collection.
