Spread the Love's "Cleveland is the City" Playlist
Cleveland’s hip-hop legacy is rooted in originality and a diversity of sounds and styles. Ryan "Shug" Gilkerson from Spread The Love, an organization that advocates for urban arts cultural equity, curated a sonic journey highlighting hip-hop legends hailing from right here in The Land. This playlist highlights old-school CLE artists like the architect MC Chill and current artists like Doe Boy. While this playlist doesn't include every legendary artist CLE has to offer, it provides a sample of Cleveland's hip-hop backbone.
