In Ireland “hooley” is a word for a lively gathering. In Cleveland, The Hooley™ is West Park’s annual day-long block party. On Saturday, May 12 from 12 to 8 p.m., The Hooley on Kamm’s Corners™ (Lorain Avenue from West 165th to Rocky River Drive) kicks off Cleveland’s robust community festival season with crafts, live music, dancing, pipes and drums and plenty of family fun. “So many people’s lives have intersected with this West Park neighborhood that we think of The Hooley as a giant homecoming celebration,” said Steve Lorenz, Executive Director of Kamm’s Corners Development Corporation, organizer of the free, family-friendly festivities. “We’re inviting generations of past and future residents to come together and discover or, in many cases rediscover, what they love about the community.”
