With the arrival of spring, we’re closer to the best season in The Land. No, not just summer — summer concert season (although summer’s pretty great, too). Not only does this mean outdoor venues like Jacobs Pavilion at Nautica and Blossom Music Center are open for business again, but some of the biggest arena tours and festivals are also coming our way.
Here’s a sampling of shows coming to Cleveland you need to make room for on your spring and summer calendar.
May 28 | Jacobs Pavilion
Chappell Roan is on the verge of being the hottest pop star of 2024 (or, in a nod to her viral dance and song, you might say she’s h-o-t-t-o-g-o) thanks to a brassy voice, elaborate stage outfits and triumphant lyrics about embracing your individuality. Consider her the heir apparent of Lady Gaga; in fact, she’s even fond of covering “Bad Romance” live.
May 28 | Blossom Music Center
Grab your bestie and mark your calendars for folk sensation Noah Kahan, your fave’s favorite collaborator: In the last few years, he’s released songs with Kacey Musgraves, Zach Bryan, Hozier and Post Malone.
May 29 | Blossom Music Center
Plan to call in late to work the next morning: One of the summer’s biggest hip-hop tours, 21 Savage’s American Dream Tour, brings together the British rapper with a bevy of impressive openers, including J.I.D., Nardo Wick and 21 Lil Harold.
June 8 | Mahall's
A Lakewood institution for the last 100 years, the bowling emporium/concert destination Mahall’s has a robust schedule of summer shows on tap — starting with a hometown gig from Cloud Nothings, the raucous Cleveland punk trio that just released a fine new album, Final Summer.
June 15 | Huntington Bank Field
Start me up! Perma-cool classic rockers the Rolling Stones are making good on their canceled-by-COVID show with a Cleveland stadium date.
June 20 | Cain Park
It's a legends-only night at Cleveland Heights concert gem Cain Park, as OutKast’s Big Boi—currently touring behind an album of flute-based music—joins jazz/hip-hop/rock iconoclast Trombone Shorty for a night of genre-blending genius.
June 25 | Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse
Between her eye-popping dance moves and stacked catalog of hits, Janet — Ms. Jackson, if you’re nasty — will be showing ‘em how it’s done.
June 26 | Blossom Music Center
Harry Styles isn’t the only member of One Direction enjoying solo success. Just ask Niall Horan, who’s also grown into an incredible headlining act.
June 27 | Rocket Morgage Fieldhouse
It's a family affair when indie-pop darlings AJR — founded by brothers Adam, Jack and Ryan Met — bring their effervescent tour to town.
June 28 | Mahall's
This stacked lineup of pop-leaning punk and indie rock — led by the Land’s Sonder Bombs and the Rosies and Canadian popsters Pony — is anything but a downer.
July 7 | Rocket Mortage FieldHouse
Close out a long weekend in the Land with the smooth moves and cool vocal croons of JT, who released a new solo album, Everything I Thought It Was, that featured him reuniting with his *NSYNC buds.
July 26 | The Agora
Indie rock’s most erudite group plays a rare full-band show at the cozy Agora.
July 27 | Rock & Roll Hall of Fame
The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame’s slate of summer shows is fire. Exhibit A: Feminist punk firebrands Sleater-Kinney are returning to the Land for the first time since 2015 in support of a new album, Little Rope.
July 30 | Progressive Field
Don’t stop believin’ in classic rock: Journey is coming back to The Land this summer alongside Def Leppard and a newly reunited Heart.
August 9 | Blossom Music Center
Country music fans are spoiled for options every summer in Cleveland, with the Dan + Shay show during the dog days of summer being one of the choices picks.
August 14 | Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse
The newly minted Rock & Roll Hall of Famer — and one of the most innovative hip-hop icons of all time — is going on her first-ever tour, and bringing Ciara, Busta Rhymes and Timbaland along for the ride.
August 29 | Blossom Music Center
Soak up the last bits of summer fun with Mr. Worldwide, who brings the party with him wherever he goes.
