Cleveland is proud to officially be the host city of the 2030 Special Olympics USA Games — the largest inclusive sporting event in our history. More than 5,500 athletes and coaches from across the nation, along with over 125,000 family members and fans, will come to The Land to celebrate competition, courage and community in 2030.
But we can’t do it without you — your family, friends, neighbors and colleagues. Together, we’ll show the world what makes Cleveland unforgettable.
The Special Olympics USA Games celebrate athletes with intellectual disabilities by focusing on inclusivity, empowerment and community through diverse sports competitions and supportive programs.
All 50 States, Canada and the Caribbean are represented in the Games, comprised of 5,500 athletes and coaches, over 10,000 volunteers and more than 100,000 fans. The games occur every four years, with Minnesota hosting in 2026. The Special Olympics bring with it more than $70 million in economic impact.
After epic Opening and Closing Ceremonies, visitors can cheer on a Parade of Athletes with award-winning entertainment and artists. Then, get ready for 16+ team and individual sports, including traditional and Unified.
