Marking All Souls’ Day, the choir will present Tomás Luis de Victoria’s Officium Defunctorum on November 6, 2026. This a cappella Renaissance masterwork, known as one of the great requiems, is a deeply moving meditation on loss and remembrance. Written near the end of the composer’s life, the music is marked by clarity, restraint, and quiet intensity. It will be performed alongside Eleanor Daley’s Requiem, a stunning work for a cappella choir that intersperses prayers and poetry in English with words from the Latin Requiem text.
Inspired by musical themes of remembrance and loss, a portion of all pay what you wish ticket funds will be directed to Joel’s Place for Children, which provides peer-based grief support for school-aged children and their families who have experienced the death of someone special.
Join singer and WCLV Assistant Program Director John Mills for a pre-concert talk 30 minutes prior to the performance.
