Join us at the Community Arts Center for a spectacular watercolor workshop with watercolorist Jeff Suntala! Participants explore the medium and learn the role storytelling plays in creating an adventurous landscape. Inspired by the special exhibition Spectacular Freedom: Andrew Wyeth and the Modern American Watercolor, guests are encouraged to reflect on feelings evoked by their time in nature. [email protected] to reserve your spot. Jeff Suntala is a lifelong Cleveland-area illustrator and watercolorist and a 1981 graduate of the Cooper School of Art. With the advent of the computer came a whole new way of creating commercial art, which resulted in a longing to return to the analog real deal of paint on paper. Plein air watercolor painting has been his passion for the past several years. Simplifying and organizing the sensory overload one receives in the field is a constant struggle, and the challenge never gets old. Jeff currently freelances as an illustrator from his home studio and sketches or paints plein air when the opportunity arises.
