One of Cleveland’s most popular pop culture attractions is the A Christmas Story House, the actual home where scenes from the iconic holiday movie was shot in the early 1980s. While daily tours are available, you can now stay overnight in the house and relive the movie all night long. Two overnight options exist:
A Christmas Story House
Stay overnight in the house where the classic holiday movie was filmed. Overnight guests have use of A Christmas Story House’s private third-floor loft for the entirety of their stay, as well as use of the whole house from an hour after closing until 9 a.m. the following day (please check holiday schedule).
The loft area is equipped with a bedroom, living room, full kitchen and full bath. Sleeping arrangement include a queen bed, queen sleeper sofa, as well as Ralphie and Randy’s twin beds.
Up to six guests can stay overnight and rates start at $395 per night.
The Bumpus House
If you’re a fan of “A Christmas Story,” you’ll remember the Bumpuses and their 785 smelly hound dogs who were notorious for harassing Ralphie’s old man and stealing the Christmas turkey.
Now you can stay overnight in the fictional home to Ralphie’s neighbors in The Bumpus House, which is situated next door to the A Christmas Story House.
The house, which is themed in a vintage eclectic 1940s style, features two accommodations options including (1) the Hound Dog Haven suite on the first floor, which can accommodate up to four guests per night; and (2) the Stolen Turkey suite, which can accommodate up to six guests per night and encompasses the second and third floors.
Rates start at $195 per night.
