Greater Cleveland’s entrepreneurship community boasts a chemistry and spirit all its own.  After a historic downturn in the manufacturing sector, the region’s foundations, nonprofits, educational institutions and community leaders banded together and launched a coordinated effort to rekindle the economy through entrepreneurship. 

In recent years, our ecosystem has helped startups and small businesses yield more than $1.2 billion in economic impact each year, engaged thousands of university students in entrepreneurship programs and annually inspires more than 500 K-12 educators to instill the entrepreneurial mindset. Meanwhile, Global Cleveland's Global Entrepreneur in Residence (GEIR) program connects international entrepreneurs to our region as we build an entrepreneurial talent pipeline with an eye toward a diversified economy, resiliency, and a brighter future.
