The Greater Cleveland Film Commission is excited to present VoiceOver and Beyond: A Conversation with Nancy Cartwright, the voice of Bart Simpson. Emmy & Annie Award-winning actress Nancy Cartwright is best known as the voice of spikey- headed underachiever Bart Simpson, but has also lent her voice to Ralph Wiggum, Nelson Muntz, Todd Flanders, Maggie Simpson, DataBase and Kearney on the iconic hit, The Simpsons. Nancy grew up in Dayton, Ohio and attended Ohio University (where she gave the commencement address in 2012). Ohio University bestowed upon Nancy an Honorary Degree Citation – Doctor of Communication in recognition of achievement in her field as an actress, as a philanthropist and through her scholarship endowment established at OU. Nancy is equally committed to helping those in her hometown of Dayton, Ohio, where she has established a perpetual scholarship for forensic students to attend Ohio University. A Conversation with Nancy Cartwright will be moderated by local radio host and former actor Jeremiah Widmer (The Jeremiah Show, Q104 FM). Through an interview and audience Q&A, Jeremiah will cover a range of topics ranging from Nancy’s experiences in the entertainment business to how growing up in Ohio impacted her career.
