Gather to connect with others and join in a lively discussion about the impact of internalized racism.
About this event:
Join in a lively discussion about the impact of internalized racism and how to advance racial equity. We’ll be talking about the psychological masks people still wear for protection, advancement or acceptance and the process they’ve gone through to show up as their authentic self (Masks-off!). See movie clips of 9 courageous people (black and white), sharing their experiences, and be engaged in a moderated dialogue about your own story and growth journey. Light refreshments served.
Register to attend one or all three watch parties:
7/21: What is “Masking” and is it Still Necessary in the 21st Century?
8/10: Navigating Institutional Racism in Pursuit of the American Dream
9/14: Counting the Cost of the Loss, Racism Recovery
RSVP required. Join us for a social hour from 5PM-6PM to see art inspired by this movement. Please arrive no later than 6PM for the watch party lasting from 6PM-7:30PM.
