The church invites all to discover the heart of Serbia and experience the rich culture, traditions, and tastes of the old world. A wide variety of traditional Serbian foods and ethnic fare – including spit-roasted lamb and pig, ćevaps, sarma, gibanica, Serbian beer, and much more – will be available.
Additionally, authentic Serbian and European desserts will be available including our most popular items, “krofne,” (round, airy, Serbian donuts) and “palacinka” (crepes).
The event will also include free tours of the cathedral, which is adorned with beautiful frescoes from the walls to the top of the church’s dome.
The fresco project, which was completed by the School of Iconography and Preservation in Belgrade, took nearly seven years to complete. For those who love and appreciate art and iconography, it’s an opportunity you don’t want to miss.
Bring your family and enjoy a wide variety of traditional Serbian foods, desserts, and ethnic fare, live music, Serbian folk dancing, and activities for children. Admission and parking are free and the festival will be held rain or shine.
