The Geauga County Maple Festival is held the last full weekend in April. The festival takes place on Chardon Square in Geauga County. It is a time to celebrate the year's maple crop and has been around since 1926. The Maple Festival hosts the largest maple contest in the state of Ohio. Along with bathtub races, maple candy carving, and a "sap" run, there are plenty of festival classics such as rides, games, food, and entertainment.
