Setting the Stage

Co-hosted by the 2016 World Champion Cleveland Cavaliers and the Greater Cleveland Sports Commission, the 2022 NBA All-Star Game will commemorate the 75th anniversary of the NBA. Fitting, as the 1997 All-Star Game at what was then Gund Arena celebrated 50 years of the NBA and featured the unveiling of the 50 greatest players in NBA history. Cleveland first hosted All-Star festivities at the storied Richfield Coliseum in 1981.

Boasting the best All-Star experience in professional sports, NBA All-Star Weekend is a nonstop basketball bonanza.

FRIDAY

  • NBA Rising Stars Game - The NBA Superstars of tomorrow compete head to head and show the crowd the future of the NBA. Cleveland's young star Evan Mobley will be there, along with other young stars like Scottie Barnes of the Raptors and Jalen Green of the Houston Rockets.

SATURDAY

  • NBA All-Star Media Day & Practice presented by AT&T - Fans will have an opportunity see the NBA's brightest stars interviewed by press from around the globe during Media Day. After their media availability has concluded, the All-Stars and their coaches will take the court for practice. • State Farm All-Star Saturday Night - All-Star Saturday Night is a showcase of all of the skills that make NBA Superstars what they are. The Skills Challenge highlights precision dribbling and passing prowess. The 3 Point Shootout sees the best sharpshooters in the league jacking up bombs from Downtown. The legendary Slam Duck Contest features the highest flyers performing the most creative circus dunks you've ever seen.

The Main Event

It's Team LeBron vs. Team Durant as the NBA's brightest stars return to Cleveland to celebrate the 71st All-Star Game and the 75th Anniversary of the league.

All the greats of the game will be on the floor showing what makes the NBA so exciting night in and night out. For three quarters, the spectacle will unfold as it always does with amazing alley-oops, no-look passes and every other move you try out on the YMCA court but just never make look as good. Then, in the fourth quarter, the game clock turns off, and the teams compete to hit the Final Target Score (the leading team's score + 24, in honor of Kobe).
