Cleveland Public Library utilized its 3D printers to produce 2,000 face shields for the city’s first responders. The face shields were provided to the city’s Department of Public Safety, which includes Cleveland Police Department, Cleveland Fire Department and Emergency Management Services.
This local whiskey producer teamed up with the Cleveland Clinic to produce thousands of bottles of hand sanitizer for caregivers. More bottles will be available as production picks up and other partners join the initiative.
Company Car & Limousine has partnered with transportation companies across the country to create Ground Travel Solutions. This partnership provides safe and secure ground transportation for long-distance trips, with a focus on older travelers returning home from a winter residence. As an alternative to flying and other mass transit, which may put travelers at risk, the alliance offers chauffeur-driven luxury vehicles for a comfortable and safe trip home.
Downtown’s Gateway and Warehouse Districts are making it easy to support local restaurants, retail and businesses with the #CarryoutCrawlCLE challenge. Individuals are encouraged to post and caption a photo of their carry-out meal, online purchase or workout and be entered for a chance to receive $10 to spend on another purchase. Gervasi Vineyard, located in Canton, is producing hand sanitizer in their distillery, The Still House. From the initial round of production, 3,400 bottles were donated to the local community, and gallon refills are being released to the public for purchase as they become available.
Jergens, Inc., which produces an in-demand tool that helps build ventilators, has created Extra Special Treat Day for employees working in the production facilities. To thank employees for their hard work and dedication, workers receive a gift card to use at their favorite local restaurant.
Italian restaurant Lago East Bank has created an Essential Meals for Essential Employees program that allows individuals to sponsor meals for front-line workers in Greater Cleveland. Plus, sponsors receive a gift card for 15% of their total donation amount to use when the restaurant reopens. Visit the restaurant’s website to donate an order.

Fashion designer Valerie Maven’s Yellowcake Shop worked in conjunction with Case Western Reserve University’s Sears think[box] to produce reusable face masks. The masks can be purchased on the shop’s website with individual or bulk orders as well as options to donate masks to organizations in need.
