Life is complicated. Drinking wine isn't.
I recently decided to take a trip down to the Canton area to check out Gervasi Vineyard - which by the way is only one of 243 wineries in Ohio. It's beautiful and totally secluded, the perfect place to sneak away to.
There are a few different areas within the vineyard and I ended up going to The Crush House and getting a table upstairs and outside on a balcony that had Italian, villa-type feels. We ordered a couple bottles of the "Little Flower" sauvignon blanc white wine and house made sangria and we also munched on the Italian meat and cheese board and calamari appetizers. Everything was amazing and the cheese board was the perfect amount to share for three people. The calamari also came with a cilantro-infused aioli dipping sauce, which was insanely delicious.
Side note: you can order wine to-go. My friends and I each ordered a glass of wine from the downstairs bar to take outside and sip on while we walked around. Definitely was cool to walk past the vineyards and see exactly where the wine we were drinking was from. Waking around the vineyard was the perfect night cap, the weather was awesome and the sunset was on point.
I have an Aunt that told me she stayed at the villas at Gervasi, so if you're not wanting to find a DD, that's always an option!
