When you think of classic locations to shoot a movie scene, you might imagine a film set in a warehouse in L.A., or a grizzled New York City detective in the Big Apple, hot on the case. Well, apart from the monoliths of the film industry in NYC and LA, Cleveland is actually one of the next names on the list and a major center of media production.
From the skyscrapers of Downtown and the suburbs of Lakewood to the historical architecture in University Circle or the cornfields of Amish Country, film productions have so many looks to choose from – and all within 30 minutes of the airport. Some all time classics like “A Christmas Story,” Marvel’s “The Avengers,” “Captain America: The Winter Soldier” and more blockbusters and indie films than you could program a film festival with have shot in The Land.
