CLEVELAND (Jan. 23, 2025) – Destination Cleveland’s 2025
Cleveland Brewery Passport is now available for residents and visitors. The digital passport features 46 breweries – the largest number of participating breweries yet – and includes several new-to-Cleveland breweries. The customizable prize format allows users to collect points to trade in for prizes of their choosing as they experience Cleveland’s growing craft beer scene.
The sixth edition of the popular program includes three additions to the local brewery scene – Lorain Brewing Company, Royal Docks Brewing Tied House and the forthcoming Black Frog Brewery (slated for spring 2025 opening). Also joining the passport for the first time are BrewDog Cleveland Outpost and Franklin Brewing Company. All breweries on the passport are located within 30 miles of Downtown Cleveland. “Destination Cleveland is excited for another year of the Cleveland Brewery Passport, offering locals and visitors a chance to explore and celebrate Cleveland’s ever-growing craft brewing scene,” said Hannah Belsito, chief experience officer at Destination Cleveland. “This passport continues to be a popular experience, attracting more than 4,900 active users throughout 2024 – 12% of which were out-of-state users.”
Participants in the 2025 Cleveland Brewery Passport program will earn a prize after their first and final check-ins. The customizable prize format allows users to collect points on their first visit to each brewery, which can be traded in for additional prizes along the way:
- Sign-up and first check-in: Upon sign-up, users will receive 100 points. Users will also receive an official 2025 Cleveland Brewery Passport sticker at the first brewery they check in to.
- Final check-in: After making a purchase and checking in at all 46 breweries on the passport, users will be mailed a commemorative 2025 Cleveland Brewery Passport pin. New this year, users who complete the passport will receive an exclusive invite to a passport completion party, scheduled for January 2026. Users who complete the passport are also entered in an end-of-year drawing to win one of five grand prize packages.
- Earn points, claim prizes: Users will earn points for their first check-in at each brewery to exchange for prizes. Each new brewery visit earns 100 points (one check-in per brewery). Select breweries also offer special discounts for passport users; redeeming those deals will earn users 25 bonus points. Prizes start at 200 points.
All passport check-ins must be completed by 11:59 pm on Dec. 31, 2025, to be eligible for prizes. Prizes will be available for pickup at the
Cleveland Visitors Center (334 Euclid Ave.). If a brewery location closes during the program year, a check-in at that location will not be required to complete the passport.
How It Works
The 2025 Cleveland Brewery Passport is virtual and available at
ThisisCleveland.com/beerpassport. After registering, users earn points when they purchase a drink, food or merchandise at a participating brewery. Upon purchase, staff at each brewery will provide users with a unique four-digit code to complete their check-in and earn their points.
Criteria for brewery involvement in the Cleveland Brewery Passport are:
- All breweries must have an A1C permit and have an active brewing system on premise.
- All breweries must have their beer available throughout the course of their time on the passport.
- All breweries must be physically located within 30 miles of Public Square and not in the territory of another brewery passport (Summit Brew Path, Medina County Brewery Passport, etc.).
