5 Reasons to Get to a Cleveland Charge Game this Season

Cleveland's New Team on the Block is a Slam Dunk

John Luteran October 09, 2025

This is a big season for basketball in Cleveland. The young and hungry Cavs embark on a critical season, already making noise in the NBA with the likes of Darius Garland, Evan Mobley and Donovan Mitchell.  If that wasn’t enough, the Cleveland Charge of the G League moved from their former home at the Wolstein Center to the historic and iconic Public Auditorium in the heart of Downtown Cleveland.

Listen, we could sit here and talk all day about why you should head down to meet your Cleveland Charge this season, but here are five big reasons to get to a Charge game as soon as possible.

You Can’t Beat These Prices

If you’re looking for a great night out with the family that won’t break the bank, look no further. With tickets starting at $11, Dollar Dog Fridays, $6 kid’s meal deals every Sunday all season long, a night with the Charge offers more bang for your buck than even a night at the movies. Tickets are on sale now.

Swag For Days

This team is no slouch when it comes to the freebies. We’re not talking magnetic schedules for your fridge here: Marvel posters, Emoni Bates bobbleheads and sherpa bucket hats are just the beginning. With their new look that matches their new location the Charge is ready for you to represent Cleveland in style as they celebrate 15 seasons with 15 giveaways this year. Check out the full promotional schedule for all the great giveaways coming up this season.

Run Run to Charge Games for Wild Promotions

We’ve come a long way from 10 Cent Beer Night in this town. Check out just some of what they have planned for 2025-202:

  • Trading Card Giveaway for the Charge 15 Season Celebration - Nov. 15
  • Asian American and Pacific Islander Night - Jan. 2
  • Pride Night - Jan. 30
  • Poster Giveaway at British Invasion Night - Jan. 31
  • Beanies at Black Heritage Celebration - Feb. 6
  • Polar Plunge Blanket givewaway at Special Olympics Day - Feb. 7
  • Women’s History Celebration (WNBA Night) - Mar. 6
  • Charge Scarf Giveaway at Harry Potter Night - Mar. 13

The Future Plays Here

The G League is where the future of the NBA plays. More and more, we’re seeing success stories come out of this still young developmental league producing major NBA talent. Notable stars like Paskal Siakam, Fred VanVleet, Rudy Gobert and Khris Middleton all made their way through the G League. Highly drafted rookies increasingly chose to play in the G League instead of college, making it clear that it’s become the no. 2 basketball league in the world. The Cavs’ Dean Wade is just one example of G League success stories you can watch grow every night in Downtown Cleveland.

A Uniquely Cleveland Experience

If everything we’ve listed here so far should tell you anything, it’s that Cleveland Charge games are an amazing Cleveland sports experience. Free throws on the court after games. A Fun Zone near the court complete with crazy inflatables. I mean, really, they’re some of the best experiences for families and basketball fans alike. Also, meet future Cavaliers with postgame autographs after every home game.

So, get down to the Public Auditorium this season and cheer on the future of Cleveland basketball.
