Nothing about Cleveland is cookie cutter. In fact, one of our most fundamental characteristics as a city is that we’re made up of more than 100 ethnicities. So much of what is known as “uniquely Cleveland” can be traced back to the hardworking immigrants and Americans who came to Cleveland seeking a better life.

Our city owes so much to our Black history and the contributions of those Black leaders and innovators who changed the very fabric of our nation. Our LGBTQ+ community infuses pride, acceptance and progressive thinking into our city. While our international community — brimming from La Villa Hispana and Little Arabia on the west side, to Little Italy and AsiaTown in the east — reminds us every day that Cleveland truly is a rich tapestry of culture.

From Sept. 15 to Oct. 15 The Land celebrates its vital hispanic community during Hispanic Heritage Month. Patron hispanic-owned businesses, explore delicious and authentic cuisine or admire arts and culture to learn more about hispanic culture not just this month, but all year long.
