Cleveland's Black Community
Cleveland wouldn’t be the city we know and love today without the positive contributions of its Black community. Highlighted by the observance of Juneteenth in June and the celebration of Black History Month in February, we cannot forget about the impact the Black community has made by sharing their culture through art, music, food and more. Explore new and veteran Black-owned businesses, try delicious local eats at Black-owned restaurants, and admire the breathtaking art created by Black artists.
This summer, celebrate Cleveland's Black culture at Metrohealth Cleveland Juneteenth Freedom Fest starting with fireworks at sundown on Friday, June 16, followed by an all-day festival Saturday, June 17 on Downtown's Mall C that features artists, live music and performances, great food, fun activities for kids and black-owned businesses aplenty.
