THE LAND OF LOCAL MAKERS
Warm weather and sunny skies mean shopping at local markets is a great way for locals to explore The Land and celebrate Clevelanders’ creativity during late summer.
Third Friday Art Walk
Locals can peruse dozens of art galleries and shopping opportunities located under one roof at
78th Street Studios Third Friday Art Walk. The event features over 60 businesses plus local cuisine, live music and more – making it the perfect Friday night out for locals and their visiting friends and family this summer.

Walkabout Tremont
This celebration of the Tremont neighborhood offers themed nights showcasing diversity and creativity. Held on the second Friday of every month,
Walkabout Tremont offers the chance to buy art from local makers, along with food, drinks and street performers. August’s theme, “Let’s Luau,” and September’s “Walkabout Like a Pirate” theme promise a unique way to experience the local art scene.

Cleveland Bazaar
Locals and visitors alike can find makers, artists, foodies and more at the
Cleveland Bazaar this summer. Held at Market Square Park throughout the summer, this market – Northeast Ohio’s longest running indie craft show – celebrates Cleveland’s maker scene in nontraditional venues.

CLE Market
Another way for Clevelanders to get their hands on uniquely-CLE items made by other locals,
CLE Market offers pop-up events at a variety of spots throughout the region. Each event features between 30 and 40 different vendors offering everything from handmade clothing and jewelry to pottery, art and more.

THE LAND OF MAKING MUSIC
Whether it’s a live performance by local musicians in Downtown Cleveland or the world-renowned Cleveland Orchestra taking the stage in the heart of a national park, there is no shortage of music experiences to help locals celebrate summer in The Land.
Blossom Music Center
Summer means the return of Blossom Music Center and a number of opportunities to experience the venue in the heart of Cuyahoga Valley National Park. The Cleveland Orchestra calls the venue home during the summer months and has 14 shows on the calendar before Labor Day including performances of music from The Lord of The Rings and Mozart in the Meadows. Rock, pop and hip-hop fans are in luck with performers including Foreigner, 50 Cent and 5 Seconds of Summer all set to take the stage between now and the end of summer.

Rock & Roll Hall of Fame
The
Rock & Roll Hall of Fame is celebrating the summer of live music with a variety of programming on the Union Home Mortgage Plaza. Rock Hall Live on select Friday and Saturday nights will feature artists like Fitz and the Tantrums, The Grandmaster Flash and Maggie Rose. Thursday evenings feature free shows with homegrown artists and include a beer garden, food and beverage trucks and pet friendly areas. Acoustic sets for Lunch by the Lake take place on select Thursday through Sunday afternoon dates. And, don’t forget, City of Cleveland residents get free admission to the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame every day with proof of residency.

Wade Oval Wednesdays
Listen to some live music performances and take in the sights of the University Circle neighborhood during the quintessentially-Cleveland
Wade Oval Wednesdays. Along with a different line-up of live entertainment each week, the event includes local food, craft beer and wine and activities for the kids.

One World Day
Travel the world without leaving The Land at
One World Day in the Cleveland Cultural Gardens. The event celebrates and highlights the diversity and heritages that makes Cleveland a unique melting pot. The free event kicks off with a parade and features entertainment, international cuisine and the opportunity for visitors to stroll around and visit the 35 different gardens.

Feast of the Assumption
Be a little Italian for the day while enjoying cannolis, marinara, pizza and more delicacies at the
Feast of the Assumption in Little Italy. Locals can enjoy live entertainment, dance parties and other music events alongside booths with different Italian goods for sale. At the heart of it all is the community’s Holy Rosary Church, which will host several religious services and observances throughout the weekend.

Cleveland Garlic Festival
Clevelanders with a taste for the pungent will not want to miss the
Cleveland Garlic Festival. Attendees can try anything from garlic fries to garlic ice cream, or enjoy the Top Chef Garlic Grill-off, pitting some of the best chefs in The Land against each other in a fight for garlic glory. Aside from garlic galore, there is live entertainment, a kid’s zone and more.

Tennis in The Land
Cleveland’s largest women’s sporting event is back. Tennis in The Land will transform Jacobs Pavilion at Nautica into the new Topnotch Stadium on the West Bank of the Flats. Fans can enjoy stunning views of the Cleveland skyline while cheering on their favorite tennis players at the event, which is part of the U.S. Open Series.

Cleveland National Air Show
The high-flying fun of the Cleveland National Air Show signals the end of summer as it takes to the skies above Lake Erie over Labor Day weekend. Burke Lakefront Airport will host fancy fliers of all kinds, including the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds who will present a choreographed 50-minute performance. Back on solid ground, attendees can check out aircraft displays, jump in the cockpit for a photo or watch a truck and a plane race down the runway.
