CLEVELAND (May 3, 2023) – The
Cleveland Talent Alliance today announced the launch of its ‘Move to Cleveland’ webpage, which is designed to help inform the decision-making process of people considering Cleveland as a place to live and work. The landing page is the first phase of an ongoing effort to develop comprehensive talent attraction and retention resources for Cleveland. It is available at
ThisisCleveland.com/MovetoCleveland.
The online relocation resource, which will expand over the next year, serves as an important information source for potential residents and includes resources such as:
- A cost-of-living calculator that highlights Cleveland’s relatively low cost of living
- Information on the area’s varied and diverse neighborhoods and suburbs
- A showcase of the region’s major employers with a link to a job board and
- Testimonials from young professionals who have made the move to Cleveland.
Launched in March 2022, the
Cleveland Talent Alliance is a consortium of twelve entities committed to developing a seamless and coordinated system to identify, attract, navigate, engage, welcome and retain the best talent in Cleveland, with an initial focus on the fast growth sectors of IT/technology (including financial services), healthcare and manufacturing.
Alliance members are Destination Cleveland, Greater Cleveland Partnership, Cleveland Leadership Center, Team NEO, Cuyahoga County, Engage! Cleveland, JobsOhio, Global Cleveland, MAGNET, Fund for our Economic Future, Cleveland Neighborhood Progress and the City of Cleveland.
As part of its initial work strategy, the Alliance is focused on the following in its first year:
- Improving perceptions of Greater Cleveland as a place to live and work;
- Retaining Northeast Ohio college graduates and
- Attracting tech talent to Greater Cleveland.
That work will ultimately contribute to the Alliance’s overarching goals for years two through five, which are to:
- Generate interest in Cleveland as a place to live and work;
- Increase consideration of Cleveland as a place to live and work, with an initial focus on the fast growth sectors of IT/technology (including financial services), healthcare and manufacturing; and
- Welcome newcomers and increase the retention rate of both new and current residents.
The Alliance will announce key performance indicators for its work before the end of the second quarter.
