Baseball and history fans shouldn’t miss this unique opportunity for a personalized tour of Historic League Park, the nation’s oldest baseball park in the country, and a visit to the attached Baseball Heritage Museum.
The ballpark, which was built in 1909, was the home to the Cleveland Indians until 1947 and has a long history of hosting legendary baseball players like Cy Young, Lou Gehrig, Ted Williams and Joe DiMaggio. In addition, League Park was home to the Negro League Cleveland Buckeyes and stands as an important reminder of the role baseball plays in addressing issues of diversity and cultural change.
During the tour, visitors also will be taken through the Baseball Heritage Museum where they’ll learn the stories of the Negro and Latino Leagues, women’s baseball and other historical moments in the sport.
Each tour will be customized around the groups interests and ages.
NOTE: This tour is wheelchair accessible.
