Cleveland’s Clark-Fulton

Roam Your Way

Where in the world?

The West Side community is bounded by Ohio City to the north, Tremont to the east, Brooklyn Centre to the south and Stockyards to the west.

A Cultural Touchpoint

Prepare for a packed calendar

The Clark-Fulton neighborhood, which is located on the west side of Cleveland, is one of the city’s most ethnically diverse communities, especially with a substantial and flourishing Hispanic community.

This thriving, multi-cultural hub celebrates its growing diversity through arts, music, education and entrepreneurship. Summertime markets support the community’s developing legacy, giving space to local entrepreneurs and artists eager to showcase their prodigious products and talents. And let us not forget the food — a mouth-watering selection of locally owned restaurants and bakeries serving everything from Cubanos and empanadas to gumbo and spaghetti with meatballs.

Learn More about Clark-Fulton

Clark-Fulton is all about recreating the lively atmosphere of Latin America. For example, La Placita is a two-day open-air market that heats up Cleveland’s summer through Hispanic-themed arts and culture. Entrepreneurial support from visitors also fosters the growth of permanent businesses in the area.

Next up is the CentroVilla25 marketplace. The $12 million project at West 25th Street and Clark Avenue will host over 32,500 square feet of retail space for Hispanic entrepreneurs. Plans include transforming a one-time warehouse into a community center anchored by a grocery store and 20 other retailers.

Cuisine you won’t soon forget

Now we’re talking. Visiting La Morenita will tantalize your tastebuds with flavorful (yet affordably priced) Dominican meals. Next, hustle to Caribe Bake Shop, a 20-year Fulton Road stronghold where traditional Puerto Rican recipes are the order of the day. Exploring the neighborhood will also reveal nachos and burritos; wings and jambalaya; as well as dozens of other delightful pairings to satisfy any culinary craving.

Experience Local Culture

Let the fiesta begin

Along with La Placita, visitors to Clark-Fulton enjoy Hispanic Heritage Month, an annual festival (Sept. 15 – Oct. 15) that honors the history and contributions of Hispanic culture. Locals and guests can immerse themselves in Cleveland’s Hispanic culture anytime via nine colorful art installations found on buildings on West 25th Street near the MetroHealth campus. Additional murals are brightening up storefronts along Clark Avenue, Fulton Road and at Roberto Clemente Park.
