Whether you’re savoring local wine and culinary creations from Black-owned businesses or diving deep into Cleveland’s trailblazing environmental justice movement, each of these experiences unveils an authentic, unfiltered view of Cleveland and the resilient community that brings them to life. These aren’t just tours — they’re transformative encounters that view Cleveland in an entirely new and unique lens.

Cultivating Community: Renewal and Revolution

Urban farming, the Forgotten Triangle and rebirth in Cleveland

Visit Rid-All Green Partnership, a nationally recognized urban farm and sustainability initiative in Cleveland’s Forgotten Triangle. Rid-All offers a firsthand look at how urban agriculture, environmental justice and community revitalization intersect. Participants will explore how this organization transforms vacant land into a thriving ecosystem while providing fresh food and education to the community. The tour will conclude with a farm-to-table lunch featuring locally sourced ingredients.

Uncovering the Past

Explore Cleveland’s rich abolitionist history on this immersive, three-hour tour of the Cozad-Bates House and Cleveland History Center. At the Cozad-Bates House, discover its pivotal role in the Underground Railroad and hear the stories of the brave abolitionists who fought for freedom. Then, visit the Cleveland History Center to learn about the city’s broader cultural transformations and activism. This experience offers a powerful look at Cleveland’s role in the fight for justice.

Boxed lunches will be provided on departure.

A Journey Through Baseball, Wine, and Local Flavor

The tour continues with a visit to a local winery in the Hough neighborhood for a wine-tasting experience, followed by a stop at The Sixty6, where you'll enjoy a taste of Cleveland's food and craft beer scene from Pearl's Kitchen and Black Frog. Reflect on the community, culture and local flavors that shape the area.

Voices of Change

A Glimpse into Cleveland’s Civil Rights History and its Cultural Past & Future

Immerse yourself in Cleveland’s Civil Rights journey on this enlightening guided tour. Join us for stops at several landmark sites along the Cleveland Civil Rights Trail, where you will uncover powerful stories of struggle, victory and the visionary leaders who fought for change. Along the way, pause for reflection in Cleveland’s African American Garden which, once completed, will convey the journey of the African American community from the past through the present and into the future.  The tour will culminate in a reflective lunch and conversation at ThirdSpace Action Lab, a local hub of social justice and home to Chocolate Cities Cleveland.
