CLEVELAND (May 23, 2024) – It’s summer in The Land and that means festival season is underway. As temperatures rise, Destination Cleveland encourages Clevelanders and their guests to fill up their calendar with some of the city’s top cultural celebrations.

Pride in the CLE (June 1): A chance to celebrate Cleveland’s vibrant LGBTQ+ community, Pride in the CLE returns as Pride Month gets underway. The excitement kicks off at 11 a.m. with a march to show off the community’s strength and unity. A festival on Malls B and C will include vendors, food and drink and entertainment, including a speak out stage. The festivities continue with a host of nighttime events throughout Cleveland’s neighborhoods.

Juneteenth Freedom Festival (June 14-15): The MetroHealth Cleveland Juneteenth Freedom Fest, now in its fourth year, commemorates June 19, 1865, the day that marked the end of slavery in the U.S. The two-day event opens with a bang as fireworks fill the air over Downtown Cleveland on Friday night. A family-friendly celebration on Saturday will feature live performances, food along Soul Food Row and a Vendor Village featuring Black-owned businesses.

Cain Park Arts Festival (July 12-14): For more than four decades, artists from across the country have come together in Northeast Ohio for the award-winning Cain Park Arts Festival. Over the course of three days, festival-goers can enjoy the works of various artists, live entertainment and food from local food trucks. From wood and clay to paintings and jewelry, the festival offers something for all art lovers.

Pro Football Hall of Fame Enshrinement Festival (Aug. 1-4): Sweeping across the city of Canton, the Pro Football Hall of Fame Enshrinement Festival encourages football fans to make their pilgrimage to the place where it all began. Attendees can enjoy a variety of events throughout the weekend including the kick-off of the NFL preseason, autograph sessions, the Gold Jacket Dinner, the 2024 class enshrinement and the Concert for Legends featuring Carrie Underwood.

125th Feast of the Assumption (Aug. 15-18): This five-block extravaganza is all about feasting on Little Italy’s finest. Whether it’s spaghetti and meatballs, cavatelli or calzones, the Feast of the Assumption has something for every taste bud. The area’s eclectic art scene also comes alive during the festival thanks to art vendors and live music.

One World Day (Aug. 25): Cleveland is home to almost 120 ethnicities and that diversity is celebrated every year during One World Day. The day begins with the Parade of Flags, leading the way to the Cleveland Cultural Gardens where a Naturalization Ceremony will be held for recent immigrants becoming American citizens. The celebration continues with live music and cultural performances, as well as delicious international dishes.
