CLEVELAND (Dec. 10, 2019) – It’s the start of a new decade, and that calls for an epic celebration! Luckily for Northeast Ohioans, Cleveland has no shortage of festivities to ring in the new year. Whether residents are looking for live music, a ritzy roaring 20s shindig or a family fun celebration, Destination Cleveland encourages locals to celebrate the New Year in The CLE.

FAMILY FUN
The Corner Alley
Cleveland kiddos can join in the
New Year’s Eve excitement with bowling at
The Corner Alley in Downtown Cleveland. In addition, arcade games, a photo booth, free face painting and free bowling shoe rental for kids 12 and under will round out the fun. Families can make the most of their trip downtown by taking a quick walk to Public Square to see the holiday lights or perusing the unique shops nearby, like
Rocket Fizz and Colossal Cupcakes.

Cleveland Metroparks Zoo
Noon Year's Eve is the perfect way for kids to ring in the New Year without having to stay up past their bedtime.
Cleveland Metroparks Zoo offers a family-friendly celebration featuring a special countdown to the stroke of noon.

United Skates of America
The whole family can glide into New Year's Eve by roller skating at
United Skates of America. Locals can choose from the kid’s countdown event, which includes an
early celebration to welcome 2020, or the later
skate party, which features a balloon drop at midnight.

Music Box Supper Club
If residents want to listen to live music to wrap up the year, they can check out the options at
Music Box Supper Club.
- For Clevelanders who don’t want to miss their regular bedtime, a noon year’s eve party is available. This Motown brunch features one of Cleveland’s top society bands, Nitebridge, with a champagne toast at noon.

- Residents can ring in the new year with Cleveland Keys Dueling Pianos at Music Box Supper Club. Nashville musician turned Cleveland enthusiast Greg Coffey brings his high-energy, all-request, dueling pianos to keep music lovers engaged from beginning to end.

- Locals can bust a move while sending off 2019 with live music from The Sunrise Jones. The Music Box Supper Club’s dance floor will be open and ready for guests to ring in the new year.

The Cleveland Pops Orchestra
Northeast Ohioans can come to
Severance Hall to celebrate 100 years of
musical fun! Carl Topilow’s
Cleveland Pops Orchestra will take the stage for a two-hour concert featuring tunes from 1920 to today. Afterward, The No-Name Band will keep the party going with music into the new year. When the clock strikes 12, a balloon drop will mark the arrival of 2020. Attendees ready to embrace the roaring 20s should wear their best themed outfit for a chance to win a cash prize.

Beachland Ballroom
Residents may be ringing in a new decade, but the
Beachland Ballroom is throwing it back to the 60s for this year’s celebration. Beatles cover band,
The George Martins, will play iconic music that defined an era at the

Pickwick & Frolic
Pickwick and Frolic boasts a variety of entertainment packages for counting down to 2020. Residents can see Comedian
Kevin Boseman, enjoy dinner with the show, watch a “Rockin’ NYE” cabaret performance or dance the night away with the band Nitebridge. Or better yet, they can do it all and welcome the new year in style.

Nighttown
Clevelanders don’t have to choose between live music or their bedtime as
Nighttown caters to both the early birds and the night owls on New Year’s Eve.
- Anne Cochran and Abe LaMarca will team up with a seven-piece band to bring their vocals to Cleveland for New Year’s Eve in two shows.

- The Great Lakes Leading Latin Jazz Group featuring Sammy Deleon and jazz artist Jackie Warren will also entertain crowds during two performances on New Year’s Eve.

Residents can ring in the new year with a night of lavish food, drinks, dancing and entertainment at
Lago East Bank’s New Year’s Eve Cirque de Soiree: The Greatest Show in the Flats. Clevelanders who are spending the night party hopping can stop by for late admission after 10 p.m. or even choose to stay overnight with a special hotel package at the Aloft Cleveland Downtown.

The Lodge at Geneva-On-The-Lake
The New Year’s Eve Gala at
The Lodge at Geneva-On-The-Lake includes a one-night stay, five-hour open bar, a dinner buffet, live entertainment and dancing. This year’s theme is Hawaiian Luau, and costumes are encouraged! Locals can also dine at the Horizons Restaurant & Lounge, which will offer a special plated New Year’s Eve meal and elegant celebration. For a more kid friendly option, a pizza party is available.

all-inclusive evening, featuring music by DJ Kyro, food and an open bar. Clevelanders are encouraged to embrace the theme and look spiffy to have a swell time at this ritzy event.

Architectural Justice Gallery and Cafe
Watching the ball drop is so 2019. To ring in 2020, locals can countdown with a
diamond drop at
Architectural Justice Gallery and Cafe in Strongsville. The gala event will have cash bars, music and a champagne toast to help locals ring in the new year. The best part? Net proceeds from this event will go to Make-A-Wish with the intent of granting a wish for a local child.

The Metropolitan at the 9
Those wanting to feel like they’re part of one of Gatsby’s iconic parties should look no further than
Metropolitan at the 9’s
New Year’s Eve event. Visitors can pop into The Vault for historic architecture with an iconic 20s speakeasy vibe and get in the mindset of the roaring 20s for a night full of dancing. Attendees should dress to impress in their flapper best or upscale cocktail attire. At midnight, confetti will fill the air, and guests can toast to the new year with champagne.

NEW YEAR’S DAY
Cleveland Metroparks North Chagrin Reservation
Clevelanders with resolutions to be more active can join naturalist Beth Joyave for the
first hike of the New Year in the Cleveland Metroparks North Chagrin Reservation. Participants are asked to meet at the A.B. Memorial Woods Trailhead to begin the hike to the reservation’s popular overlook where they will observe winter birds up close.

Citizen Yoga at Pinecrest
Residents can begin the new year by refreshing their minds and bodies at Citizen Yoga Cleveland in
Pinecrest. Participants can break out their workout gear and set their intention with positive energy as they practice
108 salutations.

Hofbräuhaus Brewpub
New year, new brew!
Hofbräuhaus Brewpub’s monthly
keg tapping falls on New Year’s Day. The experience includes a celebrity keg tapper who rolls out the barrel, parades it around the Beerhall and lugs it onto a stand in preparation to be tapped. With a couple smacks of the wooden mallet and, typically, a big gushing of beer, Hofbräuhaus’ new seasonal is tapped and ready for the public! Locals should bring along their
Cleveland Brewery Passports to receive a stamp after they visit.
