Gene Kangas’ “Terminal” consists of
winding green vine-like pipes, silhouetted
figures, stainless steel screens and ten
steel crows. The leaning male figure is a
profile of Kangas’ younger brother David.
Shortly after its installation, the pattern
for David was pirated and reproduced in
plywood. The leaning David figure proliferated
around the area and remains common
yard art around Northeast Ohio.
