The Polish Cultural Garden began development in 1928, when Polish cultural organizations joined other Cleveland ethnic groups to expand the Cleveland Cultural Gardens along East Boulevard.
Cleveland’s Polish community grew through immigration in the late 1800s and again after World War I. Early Polish settlement took root in Berea and later in neighborhoods such as Slavic Village and Tremont. Today, people with Polish roots live and work throughout Northeast Ohio.
